Grey Goose Winter Ball

Fulhamroad October 24, 2011 16:03 | Entertainment

On the evening of 29 October, ‘the worlds best tasting vodka’ GREY GOOSE® will be partnering with the Elton John AIDS Foundation for the fifth consecutive year, to host The GREY GOOSE Winter Ball, an event which annually promises to be one of the most prestigious highlights of the international social calendar.

Hosted by David Furnish, Sir Elton John and GREY GOOSE® the event will take place in a transformed space in Battersea Park, and will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation  – the sister event to the White Tie & Tiara Summer Ball.

Headlined this year by El Bulli, Christian Louboutin, Jonathan Saunders and Marc Quinn, we can anticipate an evening of exceptional taste.

This year GREY GOOSE are working with the world renowned El Bulli, to create a menu for the ball which they claim will ‘excite, challenge and delight’ its guests. The evening will mark a first in El Bulli’s 50-year history. The cuisine recognized for ‘pushing the boundaries of gastronomy,’ will be served for the first time on British soil by Paco Roncero, who studied for twelve years at El Bulli under the watchful eye of Ferran Adria.

In addition to what promises to be a world-class dinner, the GREY GOOSE Winter Ball promises to combine ‘spectacular bespoke cocktails, dazzling entertainment, a glittering guest list and creations by character icons to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.’

Over the years, GREY GOOSE has worked with characters such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Sam Taylor-Wood, Dinos Chapman, Gavin Turk, Elizabeth Hurley, Lily Allen, Roland Mouret, Eva Herzigova, Christopher Bailey, Giles Deacon, Theo Fennell, Patrick Cox and David Furnish, to create a cocktail bar to be auctioned on the night.

This year, illustrious shoe designer Christian Louboutin will be designing a cocktail bar (pictured) for auction. Fashion designer Jonathan Saunders will be creating a one-off cocktail dress for the highest bidder, as well as designing the uniforms; to be worn by the evening’s staff. ‘Young British Artist’ Marc Quinn will also be donating an auction lot.

The venue itself exists for just one night a year and is considered by many to be the most ‘spellbinding’ aspect of all. This year, the GREY GOOSE Winter Ball is celebrating ‘The Architecture of Taste.’ All in all, the evening promises to be an unforgettably unique experience and is not one to miss.

Tickets are available to purchase in benefit of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, by contacting the charity on 020 7603 9996. The entire ticket price is donated directly to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
