The Haven, Fulham's only specialist breast cancer support centre, together with local shops and businesses, are helping to turn Fulham pink this Friday 28 October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month. Over 500 pink balloons will run from The Broadway to The Haven on Effie Road. Local businesses will also be turning their windows and staff pink to serve delicious pink-themed cakes, cocktails and smoothies. Even the Fulhamroad.co.uk logo is going to turn pink.
With the help of the local community, Fulham can help raise awareness of breast cancer and funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. And since The Haven opened its first centre in Fulham, the charity has helped improve the lives of nearly 8,000 people who have been affected by breast cancer.
Local businesses taking part in Fulham in the Pink include: David Lloyd, Snaffles Cakes and Treats, Emma Bridgewater, Metro Bank, Fulham Broadway Bar and Grill, Wetherspoons, Joy, John Lewis of Hungerford, Havana, Durell Arms, Brogan’s Irish Bar, The Pelican, Chateau 6, Vagabond Wines, The Malt House, Moosh and The Wheatsheaf.
